FAQs
How long does henna usually last?
Henna usually lasts 7-21 days depending on a variety of factors.
How do I take care of my fresh henna tattoo?
After the henna tattoo is applied, its important to leave the dried dye on your skin as long as possible, somewhere in between 6-12 hours for maximum darkening results. When you want to remove your dried henna paste use a dry rough wash cloth to flake and scrape the dried dye off, if there are any stuck on pieces you can use olive oil to wipe it clean. AVOID water for 24 hours, for maximum darkening results.
To lengthen the life of your henna art you can apply a barrier of an all natural oil or petroleum jelly before you submerge the design in water for a shower or doing the dishes etc.
What is Henna and is it safe for my skin?
Henna is a plant, Lawsonia inermis, grown in desert areas of the world, common in North Africa. The plant leaves are dried and ground into a powder, Th powder is then mixed with essential oils, water and sugar to make a paste. It is 100% natural and safe for most people. The essential oils used are in the eucalyptus family, so if this is something you know yourself to be allergic to, henna might not be for you.
How much does it cost?
Henna tattoos are priced based on size and detail. Small ones starting around $20.00 and pricing goes up from there.
What kind of events is henna good for?
henna is a beloved experience for all ages! Birthdays (usually ages 5+), bachelorettes, weddings, showers, girlfriend nights, graduations, prenatal belly henna, corporate events, open houses, etc…
